Garden waste beside or on top of the brown bin is not normally collected.

The 2026/27 terms state that subscriptions not renewed by 17 July can terminate on 31 July. A bin from a lapsed subscription may be removed, and a later re-subscription can trigger a delivery/administration charge.

If your building uses shared rubbish and recycling bins, follow the stickers on the communal containers rather than assuming a house’s kerbside setup applies.
Communal food-waste arrangements can also differ from individual houses.
Wealden specifically says long public, private or shared access drives and simply being away from home for long periods are not assisted-collection eligibility reasons on their own.
Wealden Bulky Waste Collection: Cost, Booking and Set-Out
Furniture and large electricals should not simply be left beside normal wheelie bins. Wealden offers a paid residential bulky-waste service.

Before collection day
The bulky-waste terms say properties in the north of Wealden are generally collected on Tuesdays and those in the south generally on Fridays. Your actual date is confirmed when you book.
The terms require amendments or cancellations no later than two full working days before collection. These changes must be made by phone on 01323 443322.
Ripped upholstered furniture exposing foam or filling may need to be taped, wrapped or bagged because of persistent organic pollutant disposal requirements.
