50% Council Tax Reduction discount
The discount applies where the resident is receiving qualifying means-tested Council Tax Reduction when signing up or renewing.

Residents who previously purchased through the online portal are normally auto-renewed around 14 days before expiry using the saved payment card.

The current service terms also allow a council-branded garden-waste sack where supplied by the council. A valid permit is still required for the individual sack/container.
New brown bins or approved garden sacks can take up to 10 working days to arrive.
Winter collections
Brown bins are not automatically emptied in December, January and February.
Permit holders use the Winter Brown Bin Booking System. One winter booking covers the relevant winter service, with dates normally following the four-week collection pattern.
Do not reuse the winter 2025/26 opening date for winter 2026/27. The new seasonal booking announcement has not yet been published for December 2026.
Moving house
