Both May 2026 bank holidays were explicitly confirmed as normal collection days for Elmbridge.

Joint Waste Solutions confirmed there were no changes. Residents were told to leave bins out to be emptied as usual.

Again, no collection changes were scheduled for Elmbridge.

Elmbridge reported that approximately 3,000 additional flats were added to weekly food-waste collections in February 2026.
Textile/WEEE rules differ
Elmbridge’s ordinary weekly kerbside textile and small-electrical service is not currently offered to flats and communal properties through the standard house route.

Eligible street-level properties can recycle small electricals, household batteries and suitable clothes/home textiles every week on the normal collection day.
